ABOUT WOOD WHARF
This new development is an extension to London’s Canary Wharf district. Wood Wharf is a new mixed use development which includes residential buildings and public spaces and is defined by its exemplary architecture.
Wood Wharf is designed to broaden and extend the Canary Wharf Estate, adding to its vibrancy by increasing its commercial and entertainment offer. The site represents one of central London’s largest privately owned developments providing over 3,300 new homes, nearly 2 million sq ft of high quality commercial office space and a further 490,000 sq ft of shops, restaurants and community uses over 23 acres. Wood Wharf is recognised as being of major importance on a local, national and international level. Completion is currently expected in 2023.
OUR PROJECT
After extensive design work for the selection of the awnings and control systems with the Architects and German façade design team, we installed a set of awnings integrated into the residential common area on this new and iconic Canary Wharf Development.
The awnings now provide simple but sophisticated control of the sun and shade ratio in this large outdoor space, providing the buildings’ residents with function space, even in the heat of summer.
